Patrol officer in a traffic collision during my first week at FOX 40.
• Extensively covered the effects of COVID-19 on the Sacramento region, telling human stories.
One of the first reporters to speak to the family of a COVID-19 victim who lost his life.
• First in the market to report a local tie to Kobe Bryant’s helicopter crash death. Spoke to a
local team who was playing in a tournament at the Mamba Sports Academy and a local coach
who spoke to Bryant the day before his death.
• Stayed late after a shift to cover the Gilroy Garlic Festival Mass Shooting and provide fresh
video for the morning show.
• Extensively covered the Paradise wildfires (Camp Fire) that left 85 people dead.
• Covered several winter storms in the Sierra Mountains, wildfires, and floods in the
Sacramento area.
• First and only reporter in the market to break several stories, including locating a transient
man hit by shrapnel in an officer-involved shooting involving an aggressive dog. Identified an

• First reporter in the market to interview family and victims of a nightclub mass shooting that
left 25 people injured. Edited the story as an MMJ.
• Exclusively covered several windows being shot out in Downtown Little Rock. Through
persistence in coverage the Little Rock Police Department was able to arrest the person
responsible.
